Conflict Mineral Policy Statement

Julian Taylor, President & CEO
Sunsel
Sept 30, 2020

Sunsel is committed to ethical sourcing of materials for all products that we manufacture for our customers. As with a growing number of organizations around the globe, we are concerned with the ongoing violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries comprising the conflict region. The minerals currently include the metals tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold, which are the derivatives of the minerals cassiterite, columbite-tantalite and wolframite, respectively.

Sunsel has adopted the aims and objectives of the U.S. legislation on the supply of "conflict minerals" as they relate to Dodd-Frank Section 1502 to ensure we have a conflict-free supply chain. We are committed to a continuous process of working with our suppliers to collect information regarding the origin of minerals contained in products supplied to us. Sunsel requires its vendors to undertake the necessary due diligence to ensure that the materials supplied to Sunsel are derived from mines and smelters identified as conflict free. Based upon information provided by our suppliers, Sunsel does not knowingly procure specified materials identified as conflict minerals.

Sunsel endeavors to meet high sustainability standards. We are committed and recognize that our initiatives for the continuous improvement of our safety, environmental and social practices are becoming more and more important to our customers, employees, partners and community.
